Before we film, we will thoughtfully plan three or four activities you genuinely love doing together — simple, meaningful parts of your everyday life. I will gently document those moments as they unfold, allowing your story to be told in the most natural way.

Alongside the film, you will also receive a small collection of candid photographs.

I don’t have a lot of memories from my childhood, and that is one of the main reasons why I decided to make Family Films. I know how meaningful it would be for me to be able to remember, at this point in my life, how much my mom and dad used to love each other, as well as some of the real, everyday moments when we were all happy and together as a family.
When I am working with a family, I feel grateful and aware of my responsibility to capture those vulnerable, beautiful moments so that one day, when your kids are grown up, they can remember you as the awesome parent you are. No matter what happens in the future, they will have that memory.
But, why hire me when you could just take the photos and video by yourself?
Well, first of all, it is hard to be in the frame if you are holding the camera.
But also, when we are working together to make your Family Film, you will have a special time to connect with your family, where you can unplug, relax and focus on loving one another, while I find the best way to capture and show all the details that make your family special and unique. I promise you, there's a really special kind of magic when we collaborate like this!

Yes. Once you lock in the date by paying the booking fee, I'll send you a Questionaire and we will have a call to discuss the details, any concerns, and even talk about how to prepare your kids so they don't feel weird by me being there. But nothing too overwhelming, though :)

The idea is for you and your family to wear clothes that you feel good in, and that you feel relaxed and comfortable enough to move around and don’t worry about it during the session. But if you want advice, or you want to send me photos of ideas you have, I can help you choose outfits based on what I know will photograph well.

I am not booking sessions outside Canada at the moment. But If you live outside Metro Vancouver, we can discuss travel expenses case-by-case basis.

I totally understand how sometimes kids can go nuts. They are tiny humans with big feelings, so I know they can get messy/wet/dirty during the session. And I am totally ok with changing behaviors and chaos. I won't be judging anything, I understand because I'm part of a family too. And don't worry, I also know when to stop filming. My job is to find the beautiful moments in any situation.

If I'm not feeling well, I am going to reschedule your session. I am not willing to risk anyone's health, and I would expect the same from you. Seasonal allergies, etc., are one thing; but if you and/or your children are unwell, please let me know so we can reschedule. I have a couple of extra days built into my calendar specifically for this purpose. Let's keep each other safe!

Yes! We can do the session anywhere you like. We just need to consider light and filming time, but we can discuss that during your planning call.
